Reason For Install
King Edwards School in Bath has set its ambitions on becoming the greenest school in bath and has invested large amounts of money in modernising the school, for example refitting out the sports hall with a new fitness suite and entrance hall, buying all electric vehicles for site maintenance and ground keeping staff. The solar aspect of the improvements was a massive milestone for them in acheiving this goal, financially aswell as supporting their green initiative and helping the environment.
How We Helped
Solar Sun & Air have designed and carried out two installs onsite currently, the sports hall (214kw) and Wessex building (62kw), this is made up of 504 panels on the sports hall and 104 on the wessex building connecting into 4 x 50kw solis inverters for the sports hall and 40kw and 20kw solis inverters in the Wessex building. The entire system is export limited to 200kw due to the local infrastructure not having the capability for more.
The school is looking to have more solar in future on the new science block being built and other existing buildings. We are proud to have been involved in the incredible work the school are doing right now, and hope to be a part of their future improvements as well!
